RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - WGNS has more information on a Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office investigation that led to the confiscation of about $25,000 worth of cocaine on Wednesday (03/02/2022). The Sheriff’s Office reported that narcotics detectives located approximately 1.2-pounds of cocaine after serving a search warrant on Rocky Lane off Old Lascassas Road.In addition to the cocaine, Sgt. School resource officers identified and charged a Smyrna High School student today who was accused of threatening the school Tuesday night, an SRO sergeant said.“The post on Instagram said, ‘Do not come to Smyrna High School today’ with a picture of a loaded magazine” of a gun, said SRO Sgt. The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office had an unusual incident occur on Tuesday that required the help of CSX Railroad Officials. A full-sized dully pickup truck hauling a vehicle trailer loaded with military-type all terrain vehicles, got stuck crossing over the railroad tracks on Christiana-Fosterville Road at Polly Thicket Road.CSX trains had to be stopped for over an hour as workers freed the trailer from the tracks. The stuck truck caused traffic in areas that typically were traffic free. .
