Omaha police have a person in custody, accused of shooting an Omaha police officer Friday afternoon. Around 4 p. m. , a "Help an Officer call" was placed to the Westrodas Mall. Omaha police chief Todd Schmaderer confirmed two police officers were answering a shoplifting call when one officer was shot. That officer was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
