Council Approves Transfer of Cemetery Property – Sheridan Media

Property Transfer Prior to the pandemic, Mason Lodge #8 contacted the City of Sheridan about the possibility of the City taking ownership of two parcels of property owned by the lodge in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. City Attorney Brendon Kerns says the City Council Monday night approved the transfer of the Oblong Square and Inner Circle to the City. Brendon Kerns There are 920 available plots in the Oblong Square that the City will be able to sell in the future. The Council also approved an ordinance on third and final reading that amends chapter two of city code and second reading of an ordinance pertaining to second hand dealers within the City.
