In the last hour weve received a lot of new information about this, that this all started with a report of a man with a rifle that officers responded with less lethal means to take that suspect into custody. Now, we do have video of what the scene has looked like this afternoon. San Francisco Police telling us that this all started at around 310 this afternoon, when they say they received word of a man with a rifle here in the bayview neighborhood. Officers arrived on scene, and officers at this point arent offering a lot of details about exactly what happened with that initial interaction between that man who was reported to have had a rifle, and officers who first responded on scene. What police are telling us is that at least one officer used what theyre calling less lethal means to subdue that suspect.
