Wilbert Parilla, Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) deputy director for operations, said although there is no information yet about drug personalities openly supporting politicians running for public posts, the station commanders are on alert about "narco money" which may be used to buy votes. "So far, we don't have information that would lead us to believe that proceeds of illegal drug trade will be used during the campaign," Parilla said. (Contributed photo) CEBU CITY - A food delivery rider and his cousin were nabbed Saturday with around PHP35 million worth of illegal drugs, believed to be shabu, in a sting operation in a downtown street here, considered by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) as its biggest haul so far this year. Major Jonathan Taneo, the CDEU head who led the buy-bust operation on Panganiban Street in Barangay Pahina Central, identified the suspects as Shelljay Centino Cuyno and Dennis Centino, both 24 and residents of Barangay Ermita. The suspects were to deliver 125 grams of shabu, without knowing it was a legally-permissible test-buy operation.
