NEW YORK STATE (WBNG) A Norwich woman was honored today as she was named New York State s Dairy Princess.
Shelby Benjamin, a Norwich resident, is currently a graduate student at SUNY Morrisville. Now, Shelby will serve as a dairy industry ambassador and spokesperson.
In this new role, she will advocate for dairy farmers by educating the public on the nutritional benefits of milk and dairy products. Benjamin says she is excited to be someone that others look up to. People look at it, little girls see the crown and get excited. she says.
