Outside the courthouse in oakland, where the sentencing was just announced. Jessica. Reporter michelle, kenny, i was in the courtroom as one goh came out and i can tell you he appeared disheveled. He was wearing a tan sweatsuit, long hair and he sat quietly as the judge read the sentence telling him he will spend the rest of his life in prison. The lawyer says that goh is mentally competent enough understand his actions enough to understand his actions five years after the shooting rampage. The 48yearold entered a plea of no contest of killing 7 people at his former school, Oikos University in oakland, in 2012. The judge found him guilty of 7 counts of firstdegree murder sentencing him to 7 consecutive terms of life each victim witho possibility of parole. Family members of the victims addressed the court. It was an emotional hour, one calling him a coward. Goh made no comments but his lawyer addressed the court on his behalf saying goh hopes his sentence brings closure and that, quote

About 15,000 people are expected to take in the eclipse from had in air filled , one every countless gatherings from coasttocoast for this celestial event that for many will be once in a lifetime. The anticipation started early this morning, in st. Joseph, missouri thousands converge on the town for the first coasttocoast eclipse in nearly 100 years. So excited, were kinds of geeked out about it. On the west coast the farming town of mattress, oregon, the first in the nation to watch the moon completely block out the sun. Ive come, you know, thousands of miles to be here this area came up as the best place, in terms of the weather the eclipse will make its way from oregon to South Carolina before heading out to sea. Even americans who are not in the path of totality will still get to see partial clips , carbon dale, illinois, will be in the dark for the longest for two minutes, 40 seconds.
