The City of Yellowknife says it has selected a new city manager. Stephen Van Dine, a longtime northerner, will take on the role of top administrator as of Aug. 6.
John Collin is expected to take over as Yellowknife's city manager, the city announced Tuesday. The announcement comes five months after current city manager Sheila Bassi-Kellett announced she would be resigning this March.
Civic administration said Yellowknife's delayed 2024 budget will be "tight and frugal," during a meeting Monday where councillors turned down a handful of funding requests from stakeholders and community members.
