Ctg residents worried as no list prepared; vaccination training of health workers yet to start; frontliners to get priority
The Covid-19 vaccination campaign is about to kick off in the country, however, training of health officials, workers and volunteers in this regard is yet to start in Chattogram.
Not just that, such programme at district level, which was supposed to start on January 23 has been delayed. Asked, Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, civil surgeon of Chattogram, said it would start in a day or two.
He said a total of 28 health workers and 56 volunteers would be trained up to conduct vaccination in 15 upazilas.

105 more tested positive for COVID-19 in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, Jan 1, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 105 people were tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours after testing 1,582 samples at eight COVID-19 laboratories in the district.
Among the newly detected patients, 93 are from Chattogram city and 12 from different upazilas of the district, hospital sources said.
The number of coronavirus (COVID-19) positive cases reached 30444 amid the frequent rising trend in the daily infection rate in recent days only in the district, Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, civil surgeon of Chattogram, told BSS today.
Among the total infected patients, 23595 are the residents of the port city and the rest 6,891 are residents of different upazilas of the district.
