Vaccine being sent across country 567 vaccinated people under 7-day observation 29th January, 2021 10:35:43 A total of 567 people who received their first doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca (Covishield) vaccine have been kept under observation for seven days before the start of a countrywide vaccination on February 7. “We’ll observe the vaccine recipients of pilot vaccination for seven days and will start a nationwide vaccination programme on February 7,” Dr Md. Some 26 front liners received Covishield vaccine in Kurmitola General Hospital on Wednesday when Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the vaccination programme. And 541 others received the vaccine in five hospitals in the capital on Thursday under a pilot programme of the vaccination.

105 more tested positive for COVID-19 in Ctg 310 CHATTOGRAM, Jan 1, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 105 people were tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours after testing 1,582 samples at eight COVID-19 laboratories in the district. Among the newly detected patients, 93 are from Chattogram city and 12 from different upazilas of the district, hospital sources said. The number of coronavirus (COVID-19) positive cases reached 30444 amid the frequent rising trend in the daily infection rate in recent days only in the district, Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, civil surgeon of Chattogram, told BSS today. Among the total infected patients, 23595 are the residents of the port city and the rest 6,891 are residents of different upazilas of the district.
