Nadi taxi driver Yashad Ali is facing a bleak future after his home was destroyed by fire on Wednesday night.
The 62-year-old was emotional after he sifted through the remains of his home in Kerebula, Nadi, yesterday.
“This is the second time my house got burnt,” he said.
“The first one was in 2017 and I had lost everything in that fire. Now I’m here again and I have nothing.”
His wife, Sheena Ali, said she was heartbroken over the loss of their belongings.
“Everything was new. We worked so hard to replace everything and now all of that is gone,” she said.
