By Kevin Zimmermann Mar 15, 2021 4:16 PM In a prime time speech last week, President Biden told the nation that the upcoming Independence Day celebration could be a landmark in the battle against the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the pandemic of the COVID-19 disease it causes.  The City of Sheboygan is poised to follow that lead, but much rests upon how people handle the public health situation between now and then. Mayor Mike Vandersteen told WHBL in an email response this Monday that the City of Sheboygan and Visit Sheboygan, the tourism entity for the Sheboygan Area Tourism Zone, have made the decision to go ahead with planning a traditional 4th of July Celebration Freedom Fest in 2021.  The move was made based upon the downward trajectory on the COVID-19 pandemic.  The Mayor said: “We need to continue this downward trajectory and get everyone vaccinated.  If there would be a spike of new COVID  cases and a serious increase of COVID-19 in Shebo
