And just like that Osheaga has managed to come and go so swiftly, but the memories will certainly last long enough 'till the esteemed Montreal music festival is back for yet another year. Although it was a hoot and all, there were a few things I learned during my Osheaga experience that surely taught me a lesson or seven when it comes to festivals.
Montreal's Osheaga Music Festival line-up featured a star-studded for its first full edition in two years. Headliners Polo & Pan closed out Saturday night's festivities with an energetic pop and electro house set played to a full crowd. Before hitting the stage, the French DJ duo sat down with MTL Blog to talk about why they love playing in Montreal, what's planned for their next hit, and where you might find them when they're in town.
Osheaga's lineup was shaken up when headliners The Foo Fighters had to cancel their performance. For the past three weeks, nobody knew who was going to replace them for this summer's Osheaga performance. On April 14, Osheaga organizers announced that Arcade Fire will be headlining in The Foo Fighters' place.
Montreal is home to so many great summer music festivals, including ÎLESONIQ, Metro Metro, and of course, Osheaga. The event will be taking place this summer in Montreal from July 29 to July 31 and after dropping the Osheaga 2022 lineup, it's bound to be a festival to remember. Osheaga is definitely coming back full force this year with major names headlining the festival, including Foo Fighters, Dua Lipa, and A$AP Rocky. Well, another festival highlight is the many afterparties that take place around the city and now Osheaga might want to bring the afterparty to the grounds of Parc Jean Drapeau.
