Some 50 sixth-graders from the Mare Island Technology Academy visited Rush Ranch Open Space south of Suisun City on Wednesday morning, participants in the Solano RCD's Suisun Marsh Watershed Education Program, learning to be, as one educator said, "good stewards of our open spaces."
Some 1,200 sixth-graders from Vacaville, Vallejo, Dixon, Rio Vista, Benicia and Fairfield are scheduled to participate in the program. guided by the Solano County Resource Conservation District staff members.
