an olympic all around final, finishing in tenth. thousands of women are made homeless every year across the uk. for many of them it s because of domestic abuse fleeing violent partners, often with their children. but a new report says the strong link between women being abused and ending up homeless is often not talked about enough and far more needs to be done to protect them. it says they should be given more help, for example, to stay in their home while their abuser is moved away. 0ur social affairs correspondent michael buchanan reports. he wouldn t leave. he d locked me in the house. it was then that i had to pay him money for me to escape, basically. among many instances of abuse, liana fairfax was held hostage by a former partner. i went back later that evening. all my clothes had been cut up. they had been set on fire in the back garden.
development. i don t think he s capable of resigning. bull maher said it s going to be difficult getting him out of the white house especially if he wins marginally if he loses marginally. do you have that fear as well, that he wouldn t leave? yeah, he ll say it s rigged, this or that. this guy has done everything possible, much worse than i ever thought ever. the day after he was elected i said, give him a chance. you ll never know. he is worse than i ever could have imagined. and what is at the heart of that? what is the primary critique or complaint or objection? i don t know. i think part of i think he s crazy in a way. part of him is just crazy. ruddy who was just on, apologizing for him is disgraceful. i mean, if it wasn t for you, cnn, msnbc and some other outlets, the new york times, the washington post, i mean, where are we?

going forward and of which he may be implicated. that should trouble any american devoted to the rule of law. for the same reason ethics lawyers at justice urged matt whitaker to recuse himself they will similarly urge bill barr to recuse himself if confirmed. whether he follows that advice is a key kquestion for senators to ask during his confirmation. does rosenstein leaving indicate to you mueller would be wrapping up soon? i would rohope he wouldn t leave before the mueller investigation is over. i hope that s the case. it s not enough that he stick around until bob mueller finishes the report. if the new leadership in the justice department is inclined to bury the report i would hope he would stay and fight to make sure the congress and the country get to see what bob mueller has found. regardless, we in congress are determined that the american people will hear this story. i want to talk to you about
the one good thing is not only has he indicated that he wouldn t leave until the mueller investigation was far enough along, but he s also waited for congressional democrats to have subpoena power again. rod has roots in baltimore. elijah cummings is going to have a big role here. we have the backstop of the democrats having subpoena and investigatory power again which is a silver lining perhaps to this uncertainty. before you go, let s talk about his legacy. do you think that history will treat rod rosenstein more kindly than the president? you know, he himself has said that history will be the judge of his actions. and i have to think they will judge him well. he is the noble public prosecutor that we don t have enough of in this country. we ve seen so much
