it s time we did as well. shannon: i know there has been a lot of pressure on the democratic nominee who is former governor, jerry brown, to talk about what he would do more specifically. do you think that he has done a good enough job so far in outlining his plans? i m sure he ll make his plans abundantly clear between now and november. but i want to say this clearly, when he was governor, 1.9 million jobs were created in the state. 20% of all the jobs in america, he did not raise taxes. he had a budget surplus of 4.5 billion, larger than any governor that followed him. he s personally proven, he wasn t living in a mansion or driving in a limousine. he s driving a plymouth. that kind of attitude is the attitude i think we need going into these difficult years. shannon: so what do you make of the claims from the whitman camp that he was responsible for a huge deficit and high unemployment? it doesn t square with the representation you just have given us. they re just wrong on t
