hosts, right. he doesn t say stephen colbert, the guy at cbs, name-checks kimmel, what s going on here? you know, i ll tell you, i watched this earlier today, especially the fallon thing, and i thought, he s in dangerous territory. these guys are really smart and fallon made two very savvy political points, one about hey, melania, the anti-bullying thing isn t exactly working, which is an important point this week as we re arguing about civility and should badngs be said to trump s people when they go to restaurants and that, and then this remark about, i have more important things to do, oh, wait, this is the president, it s a reminder that this guy is just not serious. i mean he s dangerously silly and even show business stupid in a way with these tweets and
discussions that were held with the chief of staff, with the secretary of homeland security, with jeff sessions, the attorney general, it was all about how do we deter people from coming to america, and how do we inflict this chaos on the families, this injury on the families so as to deter families from coming here. and for him to come out now and say well, that wasn t the intention at all is absolutely absurd because it s the argument that he made and he made it publicly. on twitter today the president questioned whether a republican-led house should even bother to pass an immigration bill because it would need some democrat support to overcome a potential filibuster in the senate. what he doesn t say is that republicans in the house aren t even in agreement on an immigration bill, which is presumably why they postponed their vote until tomorrow. is there any bill you can see passion the house and the senate at this point? well, it s hard for me to imagine. but let s turn the clo
i find it a very instructive moment that now he has not denounced what she said. he hasn t said this is wrong. he doesn t say he hasn t said anything so far. we ll see later on in the evening and his record demonstrates president trump is pretty good about trying to go for the win. thus far, it s instructive who he is, what he stands for and he hasn t said anything. one other point that i can t leave without saying. there was talk, there always is talk well, president trump sets the tone and how influential he is. no president is more powerful than the country as a whole and the country as a whole particularly the young people in the country are moving in the opposite direction from donald trump on race as well as some other things. but most importantly on race. that s a great point. the president s one person. it s a big country and citizens ultimately control the destiny of the nation. dan rather, thanks for your time tonight. thank you, chris. new reporting that special coun

races is trying to outrun each other as being the most trump candidate. so it shows the durability of the coalition because these guys want to, you know, place their stamp and say i m the trump guy, i m more trumpier than trump. who says that? that is understanding what the voters are looking for. it s understanding that this coalition is still making an imprint, not just in the ballot box but in almost everything we do. so the president comes out and says don t vote for blankenship. he can t win in the general. people around him say, he would be roy moore, the judge from alabama on steroids. he doesn t say, don t vote for a man who refers to asians as china people or as african-american as the negro race or any of the other things that he has done including his felony past. why not? because he wants to say the
