Two suspects have been charged in connection to the Charlotte, North Carolina killings of two transgender women.

Police arrested two suspects in Charlotte, North Carolina on Friday that are believed to be connected to two shooting deaths of Black transgender women.
Jaida Peterson, 29, was found dead on April 4 at a Quality Inn & Suites Airport hotel, just a little over a week before Remy Fennell, 28, was discovered dead at the Sleep Inn University Place on April 15. The striking similarities in the two separate incidents led investigators to suspect a transphobic serial killer may have been at large.

HAMPTON, Va. A Hampton family is grappling with a tragic loss and trying to understand why their loved one was shot to death.
On Thursday, Remy Fennell, a transgender woman, was shot to death at a hotel in Charlotte North Carolina.
In a statement, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said they believed Fennell was a sex worker because another transgender woman was shot and killed at another hotel two weeks prior. Police believe the two shootings are connected.
Her mother, Michele Credle attended a vigil for Fennell on Saturday.
