Now, there s a new primary suspect in his homicide case. Twenty-year-old Jared Carl has now been charged as the man who pulled the trigger after new information was received by officials in Marathon County. Previously Jared s father Shawn was thought to be the gunman, but testimony from a third party brought that into question. On Monday the younger Carl was formally charged with first-degree intentional homicide along with possession of THC and obstructing an officer. Shawn Carl now faces charges of obstructing an officer and harboring a felon. That third party, Audrey Benson, also faces charges of harboring a felon along with hiding a corpse.
