"Between Two Knees, a dark yet hilarious take on the oppression of Native Americans, is at Yale Repertory Theatre through June 4. The play was created by the comedy troupe The 1491s, writers and actors of the hit FX show "Reservation Dogs."
Yale Repertory Theatre will conclude its 2022 season with Between Two Knees. The play, written by the intertribal sketch comedy troupe The 1491s and directed by Eric Ting, is presented with Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Between Two Knees will be performed May 12–June 4 at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street).
The co-creator of the show that Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma is premiering this week at the First Americans Museum in Oklahoma City calls it “a dream come true” that formed as he learned about the importance of preserving the indigenous identity and language in his own tribe.
