They are often offered by our news media in pursuit of government largesse, and our politicians and bureaucrats usually fall for them. Yet, as we delve into the psyche of the modern man, we unearth a paradox: the same emotions that propel him forward can also shackle him within a cycle of stagnation.
Here in Canada, things don’t look so certain. There are dire warnings about what the standoff between Meta and the federal government will all mean for Canadian media companies and Canadians. I’m alarmed, too.
