Shasta County is in the process of re-districting within the county. The Shasta County Office of Elections says that counties need to re-draw the district lines every 10 years to rebalance the population.
Ongoing recall efforts continues to draw people to Board of Supervisors meeting

REDDING, Calif. - Shasta County Supervisors voted 4-to-1 to approve Nolda Short as the county’s next Auditor-Controller. Incumbent Auditor-Controller Brian Muir is set to retire next month.
But that’s not the only thing that happened at the meeting Tuesday’s meeting. The recall effort was front and center among many of the people attending the meeting.

The Shasta County Office of Elections says this is because the notice of intent published in the newspaper did not include the proponents signatures. Which did not follow the election code.
