An elderly woman was mauled to
death by a group of stray dogs in Shashidhar Layout in
Rajarajeshwari Nagar,
West Bengaluru on Friday. On Thursday night, when the woman was attacked by a group of stray dogs, passersby intervened and shooed away the dogs. But on Friday, late in the night, the same group of dogs mauled the woman to death while she was asleep. Half of the victim’s body was destroyed along with her face. Locals say that due to the lockdown, the dogs were hungry and turned ferocious and could have attacked the woman.
