Colin Walsh’s name was added to the list of All Ireland medal winners from Kanturk on Sunday last when the Cork U20 hurlers completed the season with a 100% record of six championship victories, which included the four Munster round robin games, Munster final and culminating with All-Ireland success over Offaly at Thurles. When Cork led 1-11 to 1-09 at the interval little did one suspect the game would be put to bed so quickly in the second half. Straight from the throw in Cork goaled and six points followed over the next eight minutes to give Cork an 11 point advantage. Cork never looked back thereafter and ran out winners on a final score line of 2-22 to Offaly’s 3-13.
