The North Country Children’s Museum’s Board of Directors donated 100 copies of Out and About in the North Country Guidebook to the COVID unit at St. Lawrence Health Systems and local rescue squad members. The Out and About Guidebook details indoor and outdoor places to go and things to do in the region for children, families, and everyone! The book is available for sale through the children’s museum’s website, at Kinney Drugs, Brewer Bookstore, Clarkson University Bookstore, and other area locations. Above are NCCM Director, Sharon Vegh Williams; SLHS Foundation Director, April Grant and NCCM Founding Board Member, Linda Acker, holding copies of the guidebook.

POTSDAM – Ives Park was abuzz with activity as about two dozen teams were busy building snow creatures February 20.
The snow creations included snowmen adorned with spring flowers and Monarch butterflies, beach attire and Mardi Gras décor. Among other sculptures were a Mars rover, dragon, rhinoceros and a duck family.
Although there was an abundance of snow, many participants used water to pack together the difficult, fluffy snow. Also used were dyes and miscellaneous accessories to add creativity and color to their creations.
