water gushes freely threatening homes after a water main break on the peninsula. nick smith is live in menlo park at sharon park. what do you see? reporter: we see a bit of progress being made. take a look over my smolder water pressure is starting to decrease somewhat because they were able to get to the pipes that feed to that main water line break there. menlo park fire department got a call from a driver if the area that there was water running down the street around 3 a.m.. once crews arrived they realized it was a water main break. we are at the corner of sharon park road and there are as many as five homes in the direct path of the heavywater flow their priority is to get the water cut off. 16 inch pipe here [ unintelligible ] we don t know where at this point public works here they are shutting down some of the valves that lead into it to alleviate some of the water coming out. reporter: the break in that 16 inch pipe has created a mess it is running down th
