As artificial intelligence becomes more common in university classrooms, some professors are weighing the benefits and downsides of students using it for research projects.
School is back in next week and teachers will be on the lookout for assignments written with artificial intelligence (AI) programs like ChatGPT. Last year, the AI program burst on to the scene with students using it to write assignments. Doug Sadler, principal at St. Michael's Adult Catholic High School in Windsor, says there are positive ways for both students and teachers to use ChatGPT.
The 4th annual international Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) conference was held on February 3, 2022, at EHL Hospitality Business School in Lausanne and online. After almost two years of everything online , the topic for the conference was “The Human Touch: Engagement and Creativity through SoTL”. While the expectations had been to have humans engaging with other humans in person, the sanitary conditions (again) affected our plan. Thus, this conference was offered in a HyFlex manner, synchronously to all participants onsite or online.
