Here s the latest on how to schedule a coronavirus vaccine appointment in the Charlotte metro area, as well as throughout the state. (Scott Anderson/Patch)
CHARLOTTE, NC If you re frustrated trying to figure out where and when you can get the coronavirus vaccine in North Carolina, you re not alone.
For weeks, state and local public health officials have wrestled with a growing demand for doses of vaccine left unmatched by short supply.
Compounding the limited supply is the fact that the quickest route to accessing a vaccine isn t always clear. Some community health officials have administered doses during first-come, first-serve events, while others take appointments. There are periodic mass vaccination events, such as those at the Charlotte Motor Speedway and the Bank of America Stadium, but doses may also be had at some area hospitals and smaller sites run by county health departments, pharmacies and Veterans Affairs.
