The house on Chateau Street.
People living near a house where a teenaged boy was injured by a shotgun blast Sunday night say the rental property is a blight on an otherwise nice neighbourhood.
Pellets from a shotgun blast went through the floor and hit a 15-year-old below at about 9:45 p.m. He was taken to hospital with minor injuries and was expected to be released sometime Monday.
People at the 1131 Chateau St. residence are being described by Kamloops RCMP as unco-operative. Officers are trying to determine why a firearm was discharged in a house and who is responsible.
Cpl. Cheryl Bush said the shooting does not appear to be intentional and the victim does not appear to be an intended target.
