A CITY centre bank which shut last year is now being marketed for rent. Last Summer the Co-Operative bank announced that its branch on Tyrrel Street would be among 18 in the UK to shut. Chief Executive Andrew Bester said more customers were choosing to bank online, and making fewer transactions in branches. Now the former bank unit, based in the Grade II listed Prudential Assurance building, is being marketed for rent. The 160 square metre ground floor and 93.8 sq m basement is being marketed by Sharma Williamson, with a £41,500 per annum rent. The company says: The premises occupy a busy and prominent location in the heart of Bradford City Centre, adjacent to a busy pedestrian crossing point which provides a direct link from the main retail core to Bradford College / University via City Park and City Hall.
