swimming from cuba to florida without a cage. no shark cage here. she s swimming on her own. it means nasty jellyfish and sharks are all around her. she s been trying to do it for 35 years. this is a live picture of the attempt. cnn bringing you live pictures here. it s grainy, shaky, but this is what it looks like as it s going on now. i can t tell you how dramatic it is. we talked to her this morning on cnn well, to her crew. they think this is the time, the fifth attempt will be the charm. they think it is smooth swimming the rest of the way. they have seen pools of jelly fish and want to go around them. let s see if we can listen now. diana nyad completed an historic swim from cuba to florida today, becoming the first person ever to do it without a shark cage. scores of people expressed support for her on the beach and online including president obama who tweeted congratulations diana nyad, never give up on your dreams. this video show as d.c. harbor police boat accidentally crashing into two parked boats on the georgetown waterfront. the ireporter said everyone was shocked. the one sank and had to be towed away. fortunately nobody was on board. no injuries were reported. and ruth bader ginsburg is the first justice to officiate a same-sex wedding.
