DEMING – Play Sharity Children’s Museum & Library and Western Sky Community Care distributed developmental toys to 320 area families during the Christmas season. This is the first year for the Joy for the Holidays event, designed to help low-income families in the Deming area.
“Through playful toys and activities children experience the joy of learning,” said Monica Topham, Play Sharity executive director. “Joy is key to a child’s healthy development.” Joy for the Holidays volunteers delivered wrapped toys to a select group of families in Deming and Columbus.
“The Holidays are a special time for children,” said Tony Hernandez, President and CEO of Western Sky Community Care. “And we are pleased to assist in making this holiday season a joyful memory in the lives of these New Mexico families.”
