Hemingway s 442, located inside The DeLand Hotel, offers a one-of-a-kind experience for those looking for the simple luxury of a good cigar and a great sip, Shari Simmans, one of the partners in the new venture, said.
The upscale speakeasy-themed lounge, which officially opened Wednesday, was brought to life by Simmans, Ross Janke, owner of the historic hotel, and Robert Mercier, the hotel s beverage director. Shari and I talked about this for years, Janke said. There s nothing like it.
