Its legitimate but what i tell you is we are always look in the rearview mirror. The snapshot in time shows are members in strong shape and voters in the district Hillary Clinton worse off than donald trump. What happens between now and november we are going to be watching and adjusting. Will go next to washington examiner. Mr. Chairman you touched on the rnc and the job they are doing on the ground in various swing states in different areas but there has been a lot of talk about the Trump Campaign and how they are forced to pick up the slack in many ways operationally speaking with the ground game and the Trump Campaign how would the rnc basically served in the Trump Campaign congressionally when it comes to resources and money . So again Reince Priebus has done a great job. Started early address the issues started early, addressed the that needed to be addressed at the rnc going back several years. In terms of funding compare that to the dnc. One is done really well and one is broke.
We do not want that from a fiscal responsibility, and we want that ease of the parent can have a child at the right place with the right care even if its across state line. I would say we look forward to working with you, welcome the opportunity if their questions in ways we can provide Technical Assistance and other things as part of this we welcome that opportunity because we agree with the fundamental of what were trying to do and believe this is something that can approve both cost and quality. I would encourage you and your department to take a look at the bill. Its not illegal or immoral for the administration to issue a letter of support. This is one that i think with chairman upton and chairman pitts, Ranking Member, full committee, subcommittee, leadership on both sides of the aisle in the south this bill could go. That could be part of chairman uptons 21st century effort or could be a standalone bill. I also in the brief time i have want to concur with what Ranking Member gre
Actually participate and make the changes. A lot of work ahead. I really want to thank the cochairs from a team point of view. When they added this last panel im thinking another facility, work behind us, my team is going to kill me what are we doing. Quite frankly this was brilliance at its best to be able to wrap it up put a bow on it as we go into deliberations, as we close this public part for the community, as far as the hearing listening session i think theres no better way to start the next chapter. So thank you for your leadership. With that, i think were ready to close. Madam chair and mr. Chairman, i turn it back over to you. I think with that we again thank our panel and thank our listeners and thank our task force. Lets give them all a round of applause. We are officially adjourned. Thank you. Coming up live later today here on cspan 3, the president S National Security advisor, susan rice, and senator Robert Menendez will be speaking at apacks u. S. Israel policy Conferenc
Bush nixon, president , republican and democrat, president clinton the conversation about how we make this next step forward with regard to reducing uninsured is something that we struggled with as a nation. And this is the first time, and someone reflected on the anniversary of medicare, and that 50 year anniversary. This is the first time that we have seen that. So the land that we have in place, the implementation of the Affordable Care act has done that, but we have not seen any alternative. Let me talk about chip. I want to emphasize again that we have to act on this legislation immediately when we consider sgr which expires at the end of march. While funding may not expire until the end of september for chip more than half by june 1. So its clear the Congress Needs to act swiftly to ensure states can budget appropriately for chip and avoid any disrussian in childrens coverage. I see no reason why congress cant act very soon. Can you comment on the impact on states if the chip fun
Talking about what this is Precision Medicine or personalized medicine is getting the information so that we can do treatments that are to the individual. I was at nih recently had the opportunity to both see the tumors and meet the cancer patient of a Kidney Cancer patient where he had had a group of tumors removed. They came back. But then, using Precision Medicine, which meant looking specifically at the genetic makeup of his tumors, they could be treated in a different way. I met him. That happened months ago, and now he the patient was there, discussing with me and is in a very different place. So one that large database. Two, specifically focussing on the area of cancer because we already are seeing some progress there, and we believe that place is ripe for it. The other thing we need to do is fda, make sure that as we think about Precision Medicine we regulate and think about how to approve these things in ways of a different type of medicine. And then finally, we need the Healt
