Enjoying a few drinks while having a meal last November has cost a Sudbury woman $1,500 and her driver’s licence for a year.
“I made a bad choice and I apologize,” Francine Bordignon, her voice breaking, told Ontario Court Justice Andrew Buttazzoni via audio link, just before receiving the two penalties.

Bordignon, 61, had pleaded guilty to having more than the legal allowable level of alcohol in her system within two hours of driving a conveyance (commonly known as blowing over) for an incident in the Minnow Lake neighbourhood on Nov. 29.
