KITTERY, Maine Six residents have registered to run for two open Town Council seats in the upcoming town election.
Town Clerk Karen Estee said the candidates are Robert Gray, Cameron Hamm, Colin McGuire, Thomas Orlando, Joshua Seymour and Mary Gibbons Stevens.
Four candidates - Gray, McGuire, Orlando and Gibbons Stevens - are running for the shorter-tenured seat once held by Charles Denault Jr., set to expire on Nov. 8, 2022. Hamm and Seymour are running for Kenneth Lemont s seat, which will come to an end on Nov. 13, 2023.
Estee said the town is looking ahead to its election and hopes a strong turnout at the polls in two months.
