there. but it still should be said that the aid that is being given does not come close to meeting the need that exists in syria. jenna: besides the humanitarian aid, steven, if you were advising in your former role as you were about some of these national security affairs, what would be your next step? well, first, i would want very much to try to work closely with allies most closely affected by the situation there. i think we should be very hesitant about a u.s.-led role in the intervention just as tom was referring to on the aid. any kind of military security intelligence support, there will be sensitivities about an american presence. but turkey, jordan, people on the arabian peninsula, israel, all of our allies that are around this area have profound interests. we should be coordinating and supporting what they can do to help shape events. what we ve done to date has been minimal really by standards of in terms of changing the trajectory of where this conflict is going. it seem
news? for what reason? so we have gotten under keller s skin. i would submit almost everybody over at the new york times. how? how is this television operation gotten under their skin? that s a very important question. a very important question. i think i have got the answer. once upon a time the new york times pretty much controlled certainly as a media organization, pretty much controlled the national conversation. they certainly help shape events in this country of ours. now fox news also has a seat at the table and has a loud voice in the national conversation and fox news also helped shape events and this drives bill keller and other media elites crazy for one reason. because they think you re all a bunch of yahoos. they don t have any respect for your intelligence or your integrity and the idea, the idea that fox news would have a seat
