This past year, we saw teachers rise to extraordinary heights, showing their commitment to educate and inspire students.
San Antonio Magazine and Texas State University wanted to honor those educators with the ‘Thank a Teacher’ contest.
Teacher education has been paramount to Texas State’s mission since the school’s founding in 1899, and today it prepares more dedicated, dynamic new teachers than any university in the Lone Star State, over 900 each year.
San Antonio Magazine readers honored their favorite local teachers with 658 nominations and 23,870 votes! The outstanding teacher with the highest number of votes (2,467 to be exact) is Shannon Fincke!
