The construction of the new Grand Junction High School only has about one more year left until it’s completed and when furniture will be moved into the building.
Potentially redrawing Appleton Elementary School’s boundary remains a priority for Mesa County Valley School District 51, but the district is still seeking parental input.
The school board still needs to approve any changes under the proposal, which would have elementary schools start earlier while middle and high school would start later.
