It was a crazy increase (because) we’ve never used that much electric before,” Hunt, a resident of Holland Township, said. Hunt shares the 1,390-square-foot home with her husband and two dogs. Pre-pandemic, her electricity costs generally amounted to $150 in the wintertime.
