A judge who criticised Stormont for making a significant error when drafting coronavirus laws has hit out again - as he has to keep releasing people when there isn t a hope in hell of them obeying regulations. District Judge Michael Ranaghan slammed the health laws as two people appeared back in court exactly a week since they were released on bail for other alleged coronavirus breaches. Last week, Shania Devenney (21) of Kilmacormick Drive and Nathan Maguire (21) of Carnmore Lodge were arrested after police were alerted to anti-social behaviour. Both were charged with contravening restrictions and have had numerous fines handed out since last month.

. TWO people whose behaviour led a judge to heavily criticise Covid legislation making breaches fine-only, have appeared back in court exactly one week since they were released on bail. District Judge Michael Ranaghan vented concerns on being prevented from remanding the pair in custody, noting: “There isn’t a hope in hell of them abiding by Covid regulations.” Last week, Shania Devenney (21) of Kilmacormick Drive, and Nathan Maguire (21), of Carnmore Lodge, were arrested after police were alerted to anti-social behaviour. Both were charged with contravening Covid restrictions and have had numerous fines handed out since last month. Police have been dealing with parties at Devenney’s address. Since the beginning of January, there have been 16 occurrences, including people being taken to hospital with suspected drug overdoses.

Drugs and Covid fears at ILLEGAL party house Posted: 3:12 pm January 27, 2021 SHARE Enniskillen have resulted in several suspected drug overdoses, numerous police call outs, and a number of alleged Covid breaches in the past three weeks alone. That’s according to police giving evidence against two local young people accused of breaching Covid-19 restrictions at the house in Kilmacormick last week, where police claim  anti-social behaviour has been ongoing since the start of the month. Police have said five local officers have had to self-isolate as a result of probable Covid exposure at the home. Nathan Maguire (20) of Carnmore Lodge, Enniskillen, and Shania Devenney (21) of Kilmacormick Drive in the town were arrested last week and charged with breaching Covid regulations. During their bail hearing a police officer said there had been 16 incidents at the house since January 1, a number of which resulted in young people being hospitalised with suspected drug overdose
