The Truth to Power Club at Ashland High School has dedicated a mural to eight people of color who have helped shape the community, and fulfilled the club’s “Promise to Aidan” with a celebratory event .
If you guessed Shakespeare, you re correct: the dozen students involved with the podcast examined the impact on Ashland of having the Oregon Shakespeare Festival closed by the pandemic. for a year and a half, at least.
We round up some of the students; Anya Moore, Isadora Millay, and Kena Robertshaw, and advisor Shane Abrams, to not only talk about the podcast, but to listen to the entire thing.

In theory, all journalists are supposed to speak truth to power; it s part of the job. At Ashland High School, it s more than a mission, it s a name for the Truth to Power Club.
The club embarked on a new podcast series this academic year, Tea, Toast & Truth. It takes on issues of local importance, including homelessness in a recent episode.
