Police arrested a married couple on charge of dumping the body of their teenage son in a pond after killing him in Gazaria upazila of Munshiganj.
Md Rais Uddin, officer-in-charge of Gazaria Police Station, said a police team arrested Md Shamim Shikder, 40, Hasina Begum, 38, and their 15-year-old daughter from Hosendi Bazar area this morning.
They will be produced before the district court tomorrow, a correspondent in Munshiganj reports, quoting the OC.
During primary interrogation, all the arrestees confessed to killing the boy, Md Hasan Miah (17), said the police official.

Bangladesh Navy rescued 18 fishermen after 22 days floating on a fishing boat in the Bay of Bengal, an ISPR press release said on Saturday.
The Naval ship ‘Nirmul’ and ‘Atondrya’ on Friday (Jan 8) rescued the fishermen along with the boat ‘FB Al Hasan’ from 83 nautical miles away from Saint Martin Island in the Bay while the two Naval ships were patrolling.
They are Kashem Kerani, 60, Babul, 32, Al Ameen, 20, Hossain, 27, Tofazzal, 50, Khalil, 36, Shakil, 45, Aziz, 67, Nazrul 59, Shamim Shikder, 26, Abul Kashem, 45, Kabir Uddin, 42, Jagannath, 45, Yousuf, 36, Ramzan, 50, Hafiz, 35, Shah Alam, 40 and Bablu, 34.
According to the press release, the 18 fishermen went on fishing in the Bay along with the boat on December 9, 2020.
