IPOH: Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Saarani Mohamad (
pic), who came into close contact with a Covid-19 patient, has been tested for the coronavirus and the results could be known by Friday (April 30).
According to a statement issued by his office, the Mentri Besar took the test at about 2.30pm on Thursday (April 29) as a precaution. All his official programmes that have been scheduled until May 3 will be cancelled. He is expected to be back to work on May 4, pending advice from the Health Ministry and National Security Council, the spokesman said.
Saarani was reported to be undergoing self-quarantine after coming into contact with the patient on April 23 while attending a programme in Lenggong.

Perak Menteri Besar Saarani Mohamad is undergoing quarantine for 14 days after coming into close contact with a Covid-19 patient.
Menteri Besar political secretary Sham Mat Sahat said he received information that Saarani was told to undergo quarantine from today until May 11 after having close contact with an individual while attending a programme in Lenggong.
