Fort Hood Man Charged with Murder After Shooting in South Temple

On Monday, July 19, the Temple Police Department released the name of 26-year-old August Shaton Sanders as the suspect in a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning on Shallow Ford West Road.
Bell County Jail records show Sanders was booked at 3:45 PM Saturday, July 17 and charged with first degree murder. His bond was set at $150,000.

Temple PD Public Relations Specialist Alejandra Arreguin reports that police were called to the 3900 block of Shallow Ford West Road around 4:21 AM Saturday, July 17. From what investigators can tell, Sanders and the victim got into a fight that escalated into gunfire.

TEMPLE, Texas The Temple Police Department is asking for the public s help in identifying a person they say was involved in an aggravated assault and aggravated armed robbery Tuesday.
