Syracuse, N.Y. Quentin Hillsman was tired of answering questions from amateurs at the gas station, Starbucks and Prime Steakhouse, so he finally decided to blow the conch shell and assemble some people who get paid to ask questions for a living.
“The main reason I’m doing this today is you guys would lose your mind if I don’t,” Hillsman said as his Zoom session with local media opened on Tuesday.
Former Syracuse guard Faith Blackstone transfers to North Carolina A&T

Blackstone, a 6-foot freshman guard, announced her new school Tuesday afternoon in a post on Instagram.
“I would like to say thank you to all the Syracuse coaches and fans for the love and support. Thank you for challenging me to be a better player on and off the court. I wish nothing but the best for the Syracuse program. With that being said, I would like to announce that I will be transferring to North Carolina A&T State University. I am excited for the road ahead of me and most importantly, I am excited to become an Aggie!” Blackstone wrote.

As expected, the NCAA will be passing a one-time transfer rule for all sports. This rule will finally bring all sports under one rule and eliminate the need for waivers and the unpredictable nature in which those were handled. Syracuse Orange fans nod their heads at Chris Bleich’s case last season.
This means that every athlete who has transferred or will transfer by July 1st will be eligible to compete in the 2021-22 academic year.
The one-time transfer rule for athletes in all sports has been approved by the NCAA s Division Council, source tells @TheAthletic. Athletes in all sports will be able to transfer once and be immediately eligible.

Syracuse, N.Y. Amaya Finklea-Guity, who played four seasons for the Syracuse women’s basketball program, will spend her final year of college eligibility at Duke.
The former Syracuse center announced her decision on Wednesday in a post on Twitter. Duke suspended its 2020-21 season after playing only four games due to concerns of the coronavirus pandemic.

Former Syracuse guard Taleah Washington is transferring to Old Dominion, she announced in an Instagram post on Friday afternoon. Washington entered the transfer portal on March 26 and was among nine other current Syracuse players whose names were in the portal.
Washington was also one of the four Syracuse players who sat out of the ACC and NCAA Tournaments due to an unspecified violation of team rules. All four including freshmen Kiara Fisher, Khamya McNeal and Faith Blackstone are in the transfer portal, too. Washington played in 13 games for the Orange this season and averaged 1.6 points per game. In 2019-20, she averaged 3.2 points and 10.7 minutes per game.
