Former Ba player, Shalen Lal to coach Nadi

Former National and Ba soccer team player, Shalen Lal has been appointed as the head coach of Nadi.
Lal will start his work from tomorrow.
Last year he was part of the Ba coaching set-up.
Lal was heavily involved with the Vodafone Fiji Under 20 side in 2015 which was preparing for the FIFA Under 20 World Cup.
The Vodafone Fiji Under 20 soccer team created history that year after winning their first-ever match in a FIFA World Cup when they beat Honduras 3-0.

Former national under-17 coach Shalen Lal is the new Nadi football coach.
Nadi Football President Ashwant Singh confirmed this on the associations official Facebook Page.
Lal is expected to start his duties later this week.
Nadi had earlier appointed Ravinesh Kumar as their coach however, Lal takes over as the news season begins early next month.

Defending champion of the Vodafone National Regional Club Championship, Ba’s Dayal Steels Yalalevu FC, have set their eyes on this year’s title.
The Marshall Ali-coached side has qualified to the semi-finals and will face hosts Greenstars in the second semi-final at 4pm tomorrow at Sigatoka’s Lawaqa Park.
Team’s technical adviser and former Ba coach Shalen Lal says, the support from fans has been crucial in the success of the team.

The Dayals Steel YCF team from Ba has qualified for the Fiji Football Association National Club Championship after winning Ba Football Association local league competition.
YCF defeated 4R Electrical 2-1 in the final. YCF boasts players such as tveteran Aisea Codro, Malakai Tiwa, Junior Balbir Singh, Sanaila Waqanicakau, Shanil Narayan and Aman Singh who are also Ba representatives.
The 4R Electrical team had the services of Darold Kakasi, Samuela Drudru, Ilimotama Jese, Epeli Codro, Daniel Krishneel and Savenaca Nakalevu. In the semi-final, YCF defeated AC Milan 4-0.
