Reigning Olympic 110m hurdles champion Omar McLeod won the men s 60m hurdles at the third American Track League meet at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Arkansas, USA  on Sunday. The 26-year-old Jamaican, who hadn’t run an indoor hurdles race since 2018, was side-by-side with Michael Dickson (Beaufort, South Carolina) in the final before inching ahead and winning in 7.53, with Dickson second in 7.58. The competition was the second outing for McLeod this season. Two weeks ago at the first American Track League meet, McLeod competed in the 60m  his first racing competition since June and finished fourth in a field of 16 in 6.73 seconds.

Sandi Morris breaks her facility record, attempts world record height

Shawn Price February 7, 2021 FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – A week after opening her indoor season with a Randal Tyson Track Center facility record, Sandi Morris improved it to a world-leading height 16 feet (4.88 meters) to win the event during the American Track League 3 meet on Sunday. Morris, who cleared a winning height of 15-9.25 (4.81) a week ago, surpassed that height with a 15-10 (4.83) make as she was still contending with a challenger in the form of Olivia Gruver, who set an indoor career best of 15-8.25 (4.78) as runner-up. Megan Clark placed third at 15-0.25 (4.58). “I’m super, super happy and this has been a great series already and I’ve only had two meets,” said Morris, who has an indoor career best of 16-2.75 (4.95) from 2016. “Really the goal of this has been to get comfortable on the new poles that I’m jumping on. Ryan Crouser breaks indoor shot put World Record at Tyson Center

Shawn Price January 24, 2021 FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – A world record performance in the shot put on Sunday signaled the return of professional track and field on the University of Arkansas campus as Ryan Crouser’s first attempt inside the Randal Tyson Track Center measured 74 feet, 10.5 inches (22.82) to better a 32-year-old record. “It’s been a goal, but it’s almost more like a stepping stone to the outdoor world record,” noted Crouser, who in his second year as a volunteer assistant with the Razorbacks. “I’m kind of always looking forward. I’m really happy to throw an indoor PR and be so close to my outdoor PR in the very first meet of this season.
