After the Rashtriya Kisan Mazdoor Sangathan, Bharatiya Kisan Union (Bhanu) and
Bhartiya Kisan Union (Lok Shakti) withdrew their agitation against the farm laws, the Kisan Mahapanchayat on Thursday said it would vacate the Shahjahanpur protest site in the wake of the violence in Delhi on Republic Day. We had disassociated ourselves from Samyukt Kisan Morcha on January 21 but were supporting the protest. Now, we ll support the movement after analysing every step. We have decided to vacate the protest site at Shahjahanpur (Rajasthan-Haryana border), ANI quoted Kisan Mahapanchayat leader Rampal Jat as saying.

Even as the farmers agitation continues at the borders of Delhi-NCR, several smaller farmers unions have pulled out of the protest after the January 26 violence in the national capital.

Farmers marching towards Delhi were met with teargas canisters in Haryana s Rewari district on Sunday evening. The incident comes less than 24 hours ahead of the seventh round of talks between the central government and farmers unions demanding the repeal of the three new farm laws and legal guarantee for MSP.
