Islamabad: The 52nd meeting of the Capital Development Authority Development Working Party (CDADWP) on Wednesday approved development projects worth Rs24.268 billion for the federal capital.
The meeting was chaired by CDA Chairman Aamir Ali Ahmed and attended by officials from the Ministry of Interior and Planning Commission and CDA board members.
The projects approved by the meeting would be completed in different time spans of one to five years. An official said that the CDADWP approved record allocations during the meeting held on Wednesday.
The projects approved by the meeting include Rs7,200 million project of construction of parking plazas at different commercial places of Islamabad within a period of five years and Rs3,296 million plan of Margalla Avenue, while Rs1,804 million have been reserved for remaining development work in Sector D-12.

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) on Tuesday launched road safety campaign to ensure discipline on roads and overcome accidents by creating awareness about traffic rules among road users.
The campaign was formally inaugurated by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Qazi Jamilur Rehman and DIG (Security) Waqarud Din Syed at a ceremony organised at F-8 Exchange Chowk by SSP (ITP) Farrukh Rasheed.
Briefing the IGP, SSP Rasheed said ITP education team, ITP’s float, capital highway inspection patrolling squads, quick response team, staff of ITP FM Radio 92.4 and other operation staff would participate in this campaign.
