Armed Forces concludes Miqdam 4 tactical exercise

Doha: The Armed Forces concluded yesterday the tactical exercise “Miqdam 4”, carried out by cadets of the National Service Academy, under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs H E Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, in the presence of Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces H E Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem.
The exercise concluded by the implementation of its second phase which aimed at training on defending islands, including the transfer of forces via helicopters and sailing boats, the implementation of defense works, the establishment of fortifications and the creation of engineering obstacles.

Doha: The Unified Standing Committee for the Selection of Candidates for Military Officers held its sixth meeting yesterday, headed by Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces H E Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem.
The meeting was also attended by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior and Commander of the Lekhwiya Force H E Major General Abdulaziz bin Faisal Al Thani, and Director General of Public Security H E Major General Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi, members of the committee and representatives of other military bodies in the country.

ISLAMABAD: Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force during his three-day visit to Qatar called on Chief of Staff Qatar Armed Forces, Gen (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen Al-Ghanem and Commander Qatar Naval Forces, Vice Admiral Abdullah Hassan Al-Sulaiti. During the meetings, various matters of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation came under discussion. Now, weddings in Qatar can have 120 people outdoors and 80 indoors: MOPH

The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has decided to raise the maximum number of people allowed to attend weddings to 120 in open places (outdoors) and to 80 indoors.
There’s been a limit on the number of people allowed in weddings due to coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The ministry emphasised the need for commitment to implement all preventive measures such as wearing of masks and keeping a safe distance and activating the Ehteraz application.
The MoPH thanked citizens and residents for their effective contribution and praised their efforts to combat COVID-19, and their commitment to implementing preventive measures, which helped limit the spread of the virus in society.
